Fall Events & Classes 2016

SALON:  Guillaume le Conquérant 
Tuesday October 18  3-5pm  $15                
Take a virtual tour through the Left Bank and discuss what has made it so well-loved and popular for centuries. Handouts provided. Anyone who feels comfortable at the mid-Beginner level or above is welcome. Minimum 3, maximum 10 participants. En français. 





Tuesday September 27   3-5pm   $15                 
Paris is world-famous for its many green spaces. Let's discuss what makes a great park, what we love about Parisian parks and some of the unique things you can see and do in them. Handouts provided. Anyone who feels comfortable at the mid-Beginner level or above is welcome. Minimum 3, maximum 10 participants. En français. 



Fall 2016 Classes
French With Amey classes focus on building all your skills: reading, speaking, listening comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary & pronunciation. Small class sizes (average 3-5) ensure individualized attention. Required materials depend on the class. Contact Amey if you're not sure where you fit (also read explanations about levels). You are welcome to change classes if you decide the level is not right for you.  Unless otherwise specified, classes are held in the Island Park professional complex in downtown Springfield (see directions below).  

MID-BEGINNER
Tuesdays 10:30-noon   New term starts Oct. 11   $130
Thursdays 10:30-noon   New term starts Oct. 13  $130

LOW INTERMEDIATE
Mondays 12:45-2:15   This class is at capacity.

INTERMEDIATE
Fridays 10:30-noon   Class has already started, but you may join for the rest of term.

HIGH INTERMEDIATE
Mondays/Wednesdays 10-11:30 (26 sessions) $300
Mon. 9/5-Wed. 12/7   (no class 11/16, 11/21 or 11/23)

ADVANCED
Tuesdays 8:30-10am   Class has already started, but you may join for rest of term.

FRENCH FOR FUN 
Introduction to French pronunciation & common words from many contexts: food, fashion, travel, crossword puzzles, history, antiquing, etc. A fun way to learn some French without taking a "language class". Suitable for any age!
This class is through Lane Community College (downtown center):
Tuesdays Oct. 18-Nov. 1   6-8 pm
Wednesdays Oct. 19-Nov. 2    1-3 pm

Set up a consultation with Amey to discuss your trip and any questions you have. Amey has many resources and can direct you to hidden gems to help make your trip memorable, unique and thoroughly enjoyable, whether you are traveling by yourself or on a tour. Can be shared by two people.
